About the BCRAC
The BCRAC was established in 1976 as an all-volunteer, one event organization.
In 1988 Brooks Eldredge-Martin was hired as the first staff person. In partnership with volunteers, donors, arts groups, community organizations, businesses, industry and government supporters the BCRAC has grown and become an important part of the regional community. In 2007 the BCRAC owns and operates Bradford County’s only remaining historic theatres, the Keystone (1886), the Rialto (1912) and the Sayre (1914). Five full-time and 32 part-time staff work with an all volunteer Board and community supporters to keep BCRAC theatres maintained and programs of the highest quality.
The BCRAC success has been acknowledged through international, national and state awards. The timeline lists some of the key moments in BCRAC development.
